Making the Invisible, Visible: The first step to putting an end to Human Trafficking

Human trafficking, a world wide crime spreading around the world like a disease. This horrifying crime         is very illegal in every country in the world. People are trafficked everyday and people are not paying much attention to it because they don't know that this is happening. People are sold to others to do work without pay which is plain sinful. People are trafficked involuntary and are usually tricked. Human trafficking is the process of selling a human being which are often female that are slaves and work

This is important to me because this is people who are forced to work

The Fight Against Apartheid

“For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others. “ (Nelson Mandela)

There is a lot of racism in this world which causes conflict and even war. Also take South Africa for an example which was colonized by the british and the dutch. The english and dutch government introduced apartheid(racial segregation), and treated the whites as more superior than the blacks. Everyone at that time tried to separate the blacks from the whites. Nelson Mandela, an ordinary black South African was a man who fought for his rights and his people’s rights. One day, he joined an anti-apartheid group. This group was called ANC (African National Congress). But the government did not approve and Mandela was put in jail for his actions.

Racial segregation in South-Africa was a big problem. Racial segregation was when the blacks were separated from the whites because of the different skin colors. Later, the South-African government divided the people into three races which was later called apartheid. Apartheid was unfair treatment of the different people other than whites. Some examples are that the children were separated from school and that there was separate stores for blacks and whites. The blacks were not allowed to have the right to sit in the front of the bus. This treatment was unfair because they were just like any of us just being controlled around because of their skin color. The black people were contributing in the country as much as the white people but still the black people were not allowed to be part of being in charge or being allowed to make any rules. Making decisions, they just had to accept what the white man told them. The black people outnumbered the white people in South-Africa by many times but still they had no rights. The black tried many different ways in the system to get equal rights but had little success against the strong white government until the ANC group was created. ANC was a big group of black people who wanted to make a change in their country by going against apartheid. They were given a lot of support from the black community and in this way, the black people became much more powerful standing together instead of being alone. One of the leaders ANC was Mandela. Luckily, ANC was given internasional support by many countries. In that way, ANC could put more pressure on the white government for their equal right with backing and support from many other countries.

Before Mandela’s long imprisonment, he was put in prison for five years for leading workers to strike and to illegally leave South-Africa. While Mandela was in prison, the leaders of ANC were arrested. Mandela was put on the Rivonia trial. The Rivonia trial was when the ten leaders of ANC were guilty for doing 221 crimes of sabotage. Nelson Mandela was one of the leaders. He was charged with 27 years imprisonment because he was guilty of treason and he had done crimes of sabotage. Mandela was imprisoned on Robben Island.

In 1990, Mandela was released from Robben Island. Anti-apartheid groups and ANC were not banned from South-Africa anymore. This was declared by State President F. W. de Klerk. These news were broadcasted around the whole world. On the same day, Mandela had created a speech. He said that he would make peace with South-Africa’s white minority. When Mandela did this, he created peace with the black and white people and he made it possible for the black people to vote for the elections as well.

So the question is, was this really worth fighting for? Yes. This was something definitely worth fighting for. The reason why is because South-Africa has earned their equal rights and the people are equally valued. Now, they are not separated from the whites and they now live in peace with each other. This is what ANC and Mandela accomplished. This did not only change South-Africa but also the whole world and their new understanding of what racism really is and how cruel it is. All Mandela did to accomplish this was by sticking with what he was believing in and by fighting for his rights.

Baruani- Children For Children

Refugee camps are found all over the world. Usually they are a result of war or fighting between groups of people. Those in refugee camps often have little or no personal belongings and rely on outside help to survive. There are over 100,000 people in Tanzania living in refugee camps. There are so many people in the world that have everything they need, but there are also people who have lost everything. The refugee camps are an example of this. Not only is it difficult to survive but many times those in camps are separated from family. This is exceptionally hard for children who are not with their parents. Another problem is that once a person is in the camp, it is hard to get out. Baruani, a boy from the Republic of Congo has experienced all this. His family was killed in a fire when their home was burned down. He fled Congo and went to a refugee camp in Tanzania. When he was 10, he decided to help others who were having problems like his by creating a radio show that solved others problems.

Baruani has been through a lot of difficult things in his young life. At only 5 years old he experienced the death of his family, and was put in a refugee camp in Tanzania. Due to problems he experienced in the refugee camp, Baruani started a radio show and a refugee parliament. Baruani’s stories that were aired on the radio focused on getting people to understand how bad it is to live in the refugee camps. Therefore, he wanted to help bring children separated from their families together and also give them a  voice to tell their stories. He wanted to help other children who had similar experiences, to express their concerns. Baruani said, "It's my greatest wish that through radio, children all over the world will raise their voices and speak up so that their rights will be respected everywhere"(Baruani ENG). Baruani has been very helpful to the people in Tanzania. He has given the children in the refugee camps in Tanzania “a voice”. Due to the popularity of his radio-show, it also aired in Congo, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi and has helped the people there too.

Baruani has really understood the meaning of being in a refugee camp and what is going to happen through his years there. “Growing up in refugee camps means growing up with no future” (Baruani ENG).  Baruani claims that if people stay in the refugee camps, they will never leave it and will never have a future outside in the “real world”. That is why Baruani chose to do something with his life, to try to change this. He chose to make the radio show and let the children in his camp tell their stories. Since this was broadcasted widely, he managed to help many children. Baruani received the Childrens Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 for his work, and has now managed to make a life for himself outside the refugee camp.

Baruani, who has had first-hand experience with losing family and fleeing to a refugee camp in another country, is trying to solve other people’s problems using the radio. He has lived through the past nine years as a miserable boy because he has had no family and no future looking for him. When he turned ten, a lot of things changed. He started his radio-show and helped others with the same pain as him. He did this for others because he cares. He pushed the past behind him and started a new and fresh beginning by creating the radio show and solving problems for others which makes him happy.

I am from The Past

I am from video games, TV series. From Super Mario and Zelda.
From old toys, Mickey Mouse and Biker Mice.

I am the silence on the street where there are no sounds but you.
50,000 strong, Sandefjord.
From riverbanks behind the backyard. From a cottage, perfect sized.

From tall mountains, tiny rivers
surrounding us with tranquility.
From a snowflake waiting to become rain.
From a sun that barely rises-winter!
A cold wind that appears often-depressing.

From countryside and urban.
From the gleaming ocean showing its beauty to every member land and sea.

Poem Questions

What does this poem mean to you?

I think this poem means that this person Sonia shared a bond with was gone at the end because he was to die. Now, Sonia has lost a person she really shared something with and it is obvious that he is alive because he has been gone for many years.

What questions does it raise for you?

I think this poem means that even though people can be different from their religion or skin color, they can always have some sort of bond which will make them be friends. I think that this poem is also saying that friendship can last forever, even if the person is with you or without you, dead or alive.

I agree

I agree that victims have either no options or limited options. I believe because I have been a victim myself and I never have any options than ignoring it. The other reason I agree is because I dont think that you can do anthing about something than avoiding it and if it becomes worse then I believe that you have limited options. If it for example is a bully that is bullying you until you have had enough, you don't have so many options because if you tell a teacher or parent or someone else, after they have talked to him/her, they might bring many people and beat you up really badly. I believe this because some of these things have happened to me before and I told a teacher and it got worse. That is why I agree that victims either have no options or just a few.

The Eternal Jew

This was created in 1933 by David Pinsk. The Eternal Jew is a poster and a book. The Nazis were the people sending this message. This picture means that all jews are ugly and horrifying. The creator is probably a part of the Nazi party and he is trying to tell that you dont want to be like this man. I think all the men and women would be proud of themselves for being German and that they are following Hitler and not being the Jew.

Treaty Of Versailles Question

Was the Treaty of Versailles- fair or unfair? Justify.

I think the Treaty of Versailles is fair because the winners of the war should get the most and the loser should get the least. Germany had done a lot of bad things. The started the war. If there is someone to blame for being cruel to the world for a period, it is Germany. I think they deserved to give away land they earlier had conquered, back to the countries. Countries like Britian and France were attacked by Germany and were actually trying to stop the war instead of fighting it.
If we look at paragraph 159, I think it is fair that the German forces are reduced to 100,000 men because that way they will not have the military force to start the war again. Paragraph 181 and 198 is about the same , making the German forces so weak that they will not be agressive again.
In paragraph 233, Germany must pay back for all the damage and loss of a the civilians. I think this is fair because they were the people who attack random civilians and so they should pay for the damage they made. This goes for all of us in our daily life, if we cause damage to someone, we make up for our mistake.
In paragraph 431, where it says that allied forces will occupy Germany until Germany has fulfilled the treaty, I think it is fair because if there is no military power to scare the Germans, they might not do as agreed in treaty.

My Profile K

In class Mr.Whiting came into class to make us learn a little bit about ourselves. I was profile "K." I am not logic, I am gasalt which means I don't do read instructions. For example: If I get a phone for my birthday I just opened the package and start using it. I also have problems with listening. If I am under I cannot do anything at all. I sometimes have to translate my math homework into my language (Norwegian) to understand what a the thing means.

Me In Three

In my life I have a lot of things that explain me, but three things describe me the best. These are my fishing rod, my tennis racket and my ocarina. They all are different things and they also describe my differently. I am an active person and a musical person.
In my life I have a lot of things that eings and they also describe my diffe
The first thing I would like to introduce to you is my fishing rod. It is about a meter and a half and it’s fully black colored. I got it from my dad and he was the one who encouraged me to fish. The first day he taught me practice throwing in a small pond right outside our backyard. After some frustration and confusion, I got it right and I was off to real fishing. There are two things I hate the most about fishing. Its when the fishing line gets jammed, and when the hook is in my finger. Fishing was almost the only thing I did over the summer because it was so fun to fish. It is very exciting when suddenly a fish is hooked, then the rod bends and the line vibrates. Then I suddenly get become focused and try my best to get the fish. When I see the fish coming out of the water, I g

ted. One night, my friend and I spent three hours catching 13 mackerels outside our home. I was very proud of both of us. Later that summer, in our cabin, my grandma and I caught one cod each. That was cool. It was also very fun when I caught a 50cm long mackerel and then took a picture with it. Even so, fishing was fun and it was a great summer.

The second thing I love the most is my tennis racket because I play tennis more than anything else. I am very interested
in watching Federer play and I like learning from him on TV. I enjoy playing tennis, but I have no interest in becoming a pro. My goal is to be able to beat my family and peers. I am still working my way there, but the goal will be
conmplete. At first I just started to play a little, then I became crazy about
it. I worked really hard throughout last year reaching a higher level in tennis
. After a while I had improved so much that my tennis
coach told me to get a better racket, and because now I was ready for one. I bought this racket from him and it was so cool! It is called Babolat Pure Drive and it’s black, white and blue. Nadal has also used this
racket for a match against Soderling, so its a good one. Since I bought it, I became the special guy in tennis class and I carried it around all the time. I was so happy to get it that I thought it was a gift from heaven.

The last thing I want to share with you is my ocarina. It is an blowing instrument made of clay. Blowing into the mout

hpiece gives a soft sound almost like a pan flute and this sound really makes me relaxed and happy. I have many different instruments because I really like playing music. I was even in band for two years at ISKL. This ocarina is now my favorite instrument. It was bought in Melbourne, Australia this summer. I was at a handicraft market and I was really bored. Suddenly, my dad touched shoulder and told me they had ocarinas there. I was so happy because I had searched everywhere on the Internet to find one. And there it was, the perfect one. It was brown and had four holes in it. I bought it and it was in my hand. It was better than best. I never thought I would ever see one. It came with a leather strap so I could hang it around my neck. I started playing right away. I am really into this videogame called
Zelda and I think the music there is so beautiful because it is played on the ocarina.

So these are the three most important items to describe me. It shows what I really do during my free time and they all represent me. I really enjoy getting to own these wonderful things. They are always going to be memories glued into my head, and I would never replace them.

My final draft of my name

My name

My name is a very rare and special name. It’s Gard. My name is similar to a famous Norwegian Viking named Gerd. In 1999, the year I was born, the name Gard was growing in its popularity around the whole world. Seven hundred and fourty-four people are named Gard in the world. In the Norwegian language, its meaning is ‘fence’ or ‘enclosure’.

When I was 7 or 8, I wanted to change my name because I thought it was dumb. I wanted to change it to Bryal. He was a cool guy my cousin told me about and I really wanted to be like him. I was not much of a fan of my name because people teased me by saying, “Gard the guard, please Gard us.” Even though a guard is strong, I still liked to be called by my name.

I only like being called as ‘Gardy’ by people I know well. Other than that, I prefer being called Gard. The person who decided my name was my sister. She said my name should be either Gard or Matts. Finally, she ended up choosing Gard instead. I like my name now but, did not like it before but now I do. I have no plans changing my name to something else when I get older.

Last 6th Grade Blog ever!

I will really miss 6thgrade because we did so many fun things like Pi day, World math day, Malaysia Week and other field trips. The sad thing is also that so many people are leaving. In 7th grade I am going to have fewer of my old friends around, but I am sure I will make new ones.

What I am most proud of is the letter I made during "The White Mountains" unit, because when I did it my dad just asked me a few questions and then I wrote down a lot and that helped. It also made me very happy when I saw my grade the next day. I wrote very much by just answering a few questions and giving examples and evidence. It made it a lot easier to do homework when I just had a few questions to answer. Otherwise I could easily get stuck on my assignment like a blogpost, google doc, note taking sheet, etc.

I have had 2 very challenging assignments in 6th grade. Ancient Egyptian Dairy and the first lit circle I ever did. The dairy was hard because we had to do three dairy entries and we had to do note taking sheets, drafts and our finals for all 3 of them. I also found my first lit circle very complicated because I had never done that much work in only one assignment before. I found it very hard to do because the book I was reading called "Call It Courage" was very confusing.

I learned that throughout 6th grade I could write a lot and do things well if I was organized and concentrated a little bit more. Even though I still need to improve those 2 things I still have grown and improved in both areas. My organizational skills are better because now my locker is cleaned up and now I finish my assignments on time. I have also become better at concentrating by actually not having to ask anyone" What are we doing again?" My growth has helped me become a better student at school and if these 2 things gets better in 7th grade, it will make it even easier in school next year.

I think that my behavior in class was satisfactory, but sometimes Mrs. Narsiman has had to split me and my friend, if we were chatting too much. By the end of this year I think I actively participate in class and try my best when it comes to homework and in class work. Actually, my organizational skills are satisfactory at the moment because I manage to finish almost everything on time. I put a lot of effort into all of my work but I have had some issues getting started with it. But otherwise I do my best, so I would give myself "satisfactory".

I plan to become very organized in 7th grade and get good grades because it makes it easier in school and it is more motivating when it comes to doing homework. To finish things on time, hand them in before the deadline and making sure I do my best, will be my targets for next year. I also have to be more organized when it comes to remembering my school papers and all the supplies for class.

I also plan to improve my effort on getting started. I always do my best, but I now have a goal to actually start the minute I open the document. I will try not to think so hard and take such a long time, just to start on something very easy to do.

I would like to tell the teachers that they are all very awesome and that they all have helped me with mostly everything in 6th grade. I am also going to do my best to complete the goals I have set for grade 7 and get good grades and make sure I do my best with any assignment I get.

I want to tell the class of 2018 that middle school is going to be the greatest thing ever. They will get the best teachers no matter which teacher they are going to have. Pi day and many awesome field trips. They also will of course love Malaysia Week!!! The second best thing with middle school is the most amazing MS parties! I think that the new grade 6 will say the same thing and I think they will love the first year of MS.

Blogpost #5

Dear friends,
I am in the White Mountains right now with Henry and a new friend of mine, Jean-Pole. I met this guy in France since that is where the mountains are. I was really sad when I left you guys because I did not want to get capped. It was scary and I didn't really want to be brainwashed and an adult. The journey there was a very difficult and challenging way. But thanks to Ozymandias we got a map and he told me about the fake but real-looking caps. He is a vagrant and he helped me a lot. I just had to leave Wherton because of the capping and the tripods. The capping was very scary and I wanted to keep a free mind. Henry also joined me because the night I left he woke up and wanted to come. Luckily, I met the vagrant, Ozymandias who told me about the White Mountains and so I decided to leave. On my trip I visited a castle and I had fallen in love with a girl named Eloise in France. Since we stayed there for a while we went to watch knights battle with other knights and the queen and her daughter which was Eloise and I watched them fight. When I was with Eloise in the castle I learned to speak a little French. After a while we had to leave of course because we were going to the White Mountains. We met many tripods but nothing happened to me or any of us. So we are all fine. In France in the railway station in the city of ancients (Paris) we found some grenades and I brought them with me for any dangerous situations. During this journay I made friends with Henry. We stopped fighting except when we were chased by a herd of sheeps when I got badly hurt. Then I got angry at him because if we did not run away I would not have gotten injured in my leg. I feel very brave to actually make it there at the age of 13. I have learned new survival skills and I have changed a lot during this journey. And I actually survived the journey. This is all because of Ozymandias and if he did not tell me this, I would have been capped and never fallen in love with Eloise or gone on this cool and drenching journey and maybe never made friends with Henry nor Jean-Pole.

Take care and I hope to reunite with you folks soon
Love Will

The Dairy Of Nakthi

Hi I am Nakhti and I am 15 years old I woke up on a hot Sunday morning with my back in pain. It was 3 am and I was going to work. I made breakfast which was broccoli, carrots and dried corn because I was a vegetarian. My clothing was a white fine skirt I got from my mother when I was born. I got my clay and went to the old kingdom and told my pharaoh Isis I would go to the Nile and make some nice jars for her. So I started walking and said hi to my friend Ti and he does work by the Nile with me. When we reached the Nile he started to weave and I started to make the jar. After a while I started to become tired and I rested for half an hour and went to the water to wet the clay. Ti was soaked with sweat because he had been weaving so much in the dehydrating sun.

I got some water and gave it to Ti and took some myself. I was halfway on finishing the jar and suddenly the pharaoh came. She just walked by me but she was angry at Ti because he made a tiny mistake so he started over again. She told me to make the jar bigger and so she threw it in the Nile and I also had to start from all over again. But Ti and I just started doing our jobs so she could not expect us to do great. But this happened every day so it did not matter. I only wish that our pharaoh could also do some hard work and not only us. But I had a good friend to be with to work with.

I got home and my dad came home after a while but my mom was far away in the desert because she was forced to give a message to the other kingdom to start war and who would own the red amulet. When my dad came home from scribe school he was very exhausted and so he had to go an sleep strait away. I nearly see him and when I do he is to tired and goes to sleep. So I went to sleep after 2 hours.

The next day I finished the jar and gave it to Isis. She was so impressed and told me if I could continue like that she would give my family a bit more food. I was very happy and so I rushed and told my dad that I made the pharaoh very impressed. He was shocked and he told me if I make the pharaoh happy a few more times then my mom does not have to travel anymore and so of course I accepted that.

Later that day, I was on my way to the kingdom and today when I came up to the pharaoh she told me to work with the more advanced potters! I thanked her so much and rushed out of the kingdom. I saw Ti and I noticed he was going way. I ran over to him and asked why he was not going to the Nile. He told me he also became an advanced over the night and was so glad. Now we both are gonna live a better life and so we both went our different ways. I went to the Nile still because the clay workers had to wet clay in the river to make any pot, jar or anything.

After that afternoon I went home. On my way home I met Ti again and he had made a very nice skirt for the pharaoh. I really liked it and he liked the ¼ of my jug as well. When I reached my home my mom was there by a surprise and I gave her a big hug. I now got our family wealthiness and we lived great life and after a few years I became a scribe like my father.

After 17 more years my father did not obey Isis and so she killed him. I want to take my revenge on her so I didn’t obey her and she was threatening me but she did not kill me yet because I was very good in scribe school and so she wanted me there. The other tragic thing was that Ti died on our way home from the Nile a few years ago. The reason he died was because he tripped on a rock and got venom in his blood and so he died. That was the most depressing thing in my life.

Dear Dairy,
When I woke up this morning I felt funny and so I got up. I was so tired but today was our pharaohs birthday and so we had to work very hard today to finish our gifts for her. She was cruel so I didn’t really want to give her anything but I had to do it anyways. Or she would punish me and maybe kill me. I didn’t really want that to happen so I obeyed her no matter what. But since I’ve done this for such a long time it became easier every year. So I started going to work when my dad said that he was going to the Nile with me today to see what I was doing good at. So we both went down there and I met Ti, my good friend. He was a weaver and I was a potter and we both had to make a gift. I made a beautiful pot for her and Ti made an amazing skirt. We were very happy with it and we both hoped the pharaoh would appreciate it. My dad was very impressed with both of us and he said that the pharaoh would love. But I don’t know and neither does he. When we finally finished our last details we very so happy and exhausted. Later that day we played games and had fun. The bad part was that since I was a vegetarian there was barely any food for me or my family. But it did not matter. Now we sang for her then, we were giving the presents! Now I was nervous. What if the pharaoh did not like it then she might torture me or my family. I was the second last person on the list and so the guard called my name. I walked up with an outstanding pot covered in soft silk. Pharaoh Isis screamed! She was so happy and told me I could take a day of just relaxing. She loved it. Now the guard called Ti! After the ceremony Ti came outside where I was standing and she really liked the skirt. And so we were both really happy and safe.

Dear diary,
It was early in the morning and I was getting ready to go to the market to buy some clay but first, I had to get dressed. After I did that I went dashing to the market. When I reached my area I ran to the booth, I grabbed the clay, payed the booth keeper and ran off to the Nile. I had a big day today because the project that I was doing was to make an appealing jar for our pharaoh Isis. She was very powerful for the moment so if I did not make her happy, she would execute me and my family. So I tried my best to finish my jar quickly and glamorous. After the dry day of hard work I sprinted to the kingdom and asked Isis when I had to be finished in a nice way. I had half a day to finish it and then I thought that it would not be to hard. So I went back to the Nile and continued on my jar. I suddenly noticed that there were berries right beside me and so I used them for color. I let it dry for two hours and so I was almost done. When I finished it I took a long water break because I was exhausted from the overheating day. I went to the kingdom and I actually impressed Isis and she said told me to make a pot or she would kill me. I hated her actually but I had no choice but to obey her and to attend her. I went home hungry and so I got some vegetables and ate some leftover bread from yesterday. I was so tired that I fell asleep on the rock table. So the next day I woke up and my parents weren’t here! Then I just remembered that they went to the Red Sea to fish for Isis. I was home alone and so I went to the market and got clay and went to the Nile talking a bit with Ti. My best and only friend. People got angry at me for not making good jars, pots or anything like them. But I was so young so it wasn’t my fault. I started on a pot I wanted to give to Ti but, Isis would have found out and killed me so I did the same thing like I did everyday. Create things for Isis. But I did this everyday so I did not really mind since I’ve done this for 3 years already. When I talked with Ti he said that he had already died once but because of the sacred amulet he got from his ancestors. So this was his afterlife and he had met Anubis. And of course it had to be true. Or maybe it was a dream. But I belive him and said that it would be interesting to also be in the world of death but I did not want to die unless I had to. It was nice talking to Ti but now I had to go because my parents are supposed to come tomorrow. I was going to make some dinner for them and so I rushed to the market. I got all the supplies and when I got home I became so sleepy. I now just wanted to go to sleep and so I did. The next day I woke up a little earlier to get dinner later on early. After that was done I rushed to work. I saw Ti on my way and he was very happy with the new skirt he had made for Isis. He suddenly tripped on a snake and the snake attacked him. I jumped and banged the clay against it. I threw clay in his mouth and it became dry. Now it couldn’t bite us so we were safe. Then the mother came and we both ran for our lives. Ti fell and was shouting “Nakthi, Nakthi!!!!!” and I just ran because I was too scared to go back. Then, I did not know what happened to Ti after that. I fell into the Nile and almost drowned when the people from the other side of the river picked me up. They saved me and asked me who I was and where I was from. I told them I was from Isis’s kingdom and I was Nakthi. These guys hated Isis and I did as well. I asked if they could help me get home again and so they did. They got their boat and got me to the other side. I was so thankful and gave them clay so they could use it for something. Today was so warm and I was drenched with sweat after only an hour. I after that hour I walked up to the kingdom and told Isis that it was too hot for me today to work. She got the guard and he pulled me down to the underground. He chopped of my head and then I was gone forever. Now I wonder what will happen to my parents when they get back home. But I am excited about my afterlife.

Blogpost #3

There is actually no reason except he doesn't want to become a brainwashed adult which is also the problem with Zhan-Pole( Beanpole), Henry and basically every boy and girl on earth. The is though one other reason. He had noticed that his cousin (Jack) was very different from before and was kind of boring because he acted like an adult. And of course neither Henry or Will would want to be like Jack. So Will feels scared of the capping because he never knew what it was like so of course he was scared. Which is also the same case with every other child. This is also the reason why the boys are going to the White Mountains (The Alps) to get the fake cap thing. Will also will become like his parents when he wears that cap and who knows what would happen. The reason he would be scared was when he would be lifted up by a gigantic Tripod. The bad and embarrassing part is of course shaving all your hair so the cap can be put on top of your head. This is what Will feels about the capping.

They were able to control people maybe by signals that came from them and sent it to all the cap in the world and make them do things. They could also maybe have this electric shock thing on the cap and if the capped people don't listen or obey, they get shocked in the head.

Will really likes it there even though he is also uncomfertable because Comtesse, Eloise and Comte are capped. They are very nice but the boys cannot share their plans because even though the other people are very nice they are still capped and controlled people. Will is ill and decides to stay there and tell the other two boys to leave him. But they all three went together. So Will likes the castle and everything but he just can stay there with all those capped people.

The Importance of Beanpole

For this situation, Beanpole was a lot help for Henry and Will. There are a few reasons why. The first reason, he is a French person so if they were alone without Beanpole they might not know where to go or ask the French people. So Beanpole knew the way to the White Mountains (The Alps) and if Will and Henry weren't with Beanpole they would maybe be dead or lost.

The next reason, Beanpole also was a lot of help when they were going through the City of Ancients or Will and Henry might have lost their way. Even though Beanpole wanted to go around because it was safer, but took longer to walk around.

So... how am I like Will?

I am like Will sometimes because I have quite an annoying cousin who likes to fight with me and he is older than me so I always lose. I also have parents that are brainwashed sometimes because they don't listen to me and talks to themselves. My annoying cousin made me cry when I was 7 years old because we were on my cousins trampoline when he kicked me in the stomach when we were fighting. But this wasn't supposed to be painful fighting, this was actually supposed to be fun a fighting even though sometimes I do not want to fight. I hate it when my parent kind of ignores me when I'm talking to them because their reading or angry or being on the computer. I'm kind of like Will in some ways but you can't compare me to him.
