My Presentation On Sandefjord

What I thought I did well on my presentation was not reading of the slide but by taking out some of the words and making it into a sentence. What I thought that I would need to improve was not saying "um" and "like." I learned that Sydney has a very amazing new years firework celebration and I also learned that Sandefjord was used as a market town long ago. In this presentation I thought I did very good.

The New Years Resolution Of Mine

My new years resolution is to make friends with people in our apartment and in school. The reason is that I do not want people to bully me or start a fight with me. Another reason is that I can then talk with everyone without them ignoring me or something else.

My second new years resolution is to improve my grades. I am quite happy with my grades right now but if I make them even better then that will be awesome! Then if I get like a B+ I would still be in a good grade. I also want to improve them to get more free- time with my friends and play soccer.

My holiday was great! I saw my friends, family and my teachers. It was so nice to see my friends again and  my family. My cousin had her birthday right before christmas and my other cousin had his after.
I had a great time at home but not in school because I was sick and got sinusitis because it was so cold.

On christmas we had a great time even tough my grandma was sick and barely joined us and that was sad but right now she here in Malaysia with us feeling better than ever! I didn't enjoy new year in 2010 because I fell asleep and so I missed the fireworks and this time my cousin couldn't celebrate new year with us because he had become sick just like my grandma but he is also feeling much better.

This was how my holiday was and even though it was not perfect it was a good one.

The Special K

In class Mr.Whiting came in to make us learn a little bit about ourselves.  I was profile "K." I am not logic, I am gasalt which means I don't do read instructions. For example: If I get a phone for my birthday I just opened the package and start using it.  I also have problems with listening. If I am under I cannot do anything at all. I sometimes have to translate my math homework into my language (Norwegian) to understand what a the thing means.


What could help me with these things would be to sit on the left side to look at the person who is talking. I will maybe need some people help me to communicate which will also help me to listen and remember he or her said.

My Collaborative Lit Circle Blogpost

The benefits of working with a partner is useful because he or she helps me improve my things and that gets us a better grade. It also helps me by looking at example to improve my own writing. Collaborating with a partner was also very nice because I would have to do that much and stress with the homework.

I didn't like to share my Lit Circle with others because I thought I bad at it but now I actually gets some help from my partner so I can now share it with anyone because I think that I did good in this Lit Circles. Working with my partner wasn't that hard because I the other Lit Circle was so long but now it has gotten shorter for me and my partner because we collaborate.

I have new understandings of the book because everybody in my group have a different opinion which they share with me and the rest of the group and that makes me see things from a different angle. Also, it makes me think about things I would never had thought about. When I share something with my Lit Circle group I actually learn the thing I am saying a lot better because sharing something with others makes me think more thoroughly  before telling.

My group made me understand the novel by explaining everything very easily and good. If there was something I did not know, the others would tell me what it was. If I understood something in one way, the others in my group could have another opinion, and we could discuss and we would agree with each other. I thought this was useful because I also got help and advice from them that I should do on my next lit circles. That was very useful.


One of the people in my group had a similar connection and that was his mom being in a car crash and so had my mom.I made some connections about my life that was similar to Jacob's when my lit circle buddy was reading aloud. I also had a bike in Norway like Jacob and I left it outside and that was the opposite. The connections gave my many memories.


I think that Jacob will get tickets to fly to Kenya but how will he get money for the tickets ?  I think Sam will try make Jacob stay but Jacob escapes but this is only what I predict will happen next. I also think he will be looking for his dad in the bush and hopefully he finds his father. The last thing I think will happen is that Sam will get remarried and Jacob will never see Sam ever again.

The differences between Australia+New Zealand and Papau New Guinea

During the 18th century, there were a lot of people that moved to Australia from England, prisoners and others. Some of these people had knowledge and technology that they brought when they moved there. They made their own future in Australia. 

They had a long term relationship with those back in England. When new technology came up in England, this technology became also available in Australia. As more and more ships went between Australia and England, bringing convicts and ordinary Englishmen, they also brought knowledge, understanding, money and technology.

Papua New Guinea had hardly any contact with the outside world except from Australia, that took their natural resources. That's why there are tribes in Papua New Guinea that are still living literally in the stone age.

At the time technology arrived in Australia, Papua New Guinea was ruled by Australia and therefore Australia could decide what to do with Papua New Guinea. They chosed to bring their natural resources to Australia instead of producing and factoring at the spot by bringing technology to Papua New Guinea.   

At all times, large and powerful countries have exploited the small and weak countries, like rich Australia and poor tiny Papua New Guinea.
